PROCEDURE FOR THE ENTRY TO THE SYMPOSIUM AND THE FAIR

All interested to participate at the Symposium and the Fair can pay their full participation  fee at the Registration desk. Full Registration fees and Daily passes can be obtained one day BEFORE the Symposium, on Friday, 17th February from 12h to 18 h. (this is a way to avoid crowding at the registration desk for both the participants who are from Belgrade, and participants who will arrive to Belgrade the day before the Symposium)

Daily participation fee bought on the spot shall be RSD 7,000 for participants from member countries of Apimondia, and RSD 8,000 for all other participants. Two day participation fee shall be RSD 12,000 for participants from member countries and RSD 13,500 for all other participants.  Apart from the participation at the Symposium, the participation fee includes a Book of Abstracts, lunch at the Sava Centar, transfers from hotel Srbija to Sava centar, for either one or two days depending on the amount paid. All participants who intent to pay the participation fee are kindly invited to register on the Symposium web site (www.apiecotech2012.com) before the Symposium in order to help accelerate their registration at the registration desk.

All visitors of the Symposium who do not purchase Full Registration fee can purchase a Daily pass for attendance at the Symposium and the Fair for RSD 1,500. The price of the Collection of papers is RSD 800.

Since there will be a large number of people, we kindly invite all visitors of the Symposium and the Fair to come to Belgrade as early as possible in order to avoid crowding and attend the grand opening of the Symposium in the exclusive Blue Hall of Sava Centar

The Opening will begin at 11 a.m. sharp (please be on time).  Vesna Damjanić Branković, a well-known and successful journalist of the Public Service Television shall be the host of the program. She will address the audiance in both Serbian and English in parallel, while for all other speakers simultanous interpretation into English, and consecutive interpretation into Serbian will be provided. President of Apimondia, Mr. Gilles Ratia, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Dušan Petrović and other high officials will address the Symposium at the Opening.

Scientific and expert program is beyond our expectations. Both days of the Symposium will be extremely interesting for beekeepers practitioners, with its attractive topics from the practice. A total of 44 papers will be presented, of which 31 will be oral presentations (lectures), and 13 in form of posters.

We, therefore, invite you to set some time aside and visit the Symposium during both days. You will not regret it – this is evident from the Symposium enclosed program. Papers arrived from 14 countries: Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Slovenia, Albania, Macedonia, Croatia and Serbia.

Participants will have an opportunity to pay and attend the dinner with the Apimondia representatives and other officials and guests (Serbian evening), which will be organized on Saturday, 19th February at the price of RSD 3,000 in “Jezero” restaurant with traditional Serbian music. The restaurant is located on the left bank of the Sava Island, surrounded by beautiful nature of Ada Ciganlija. Bus transfer from the Sava centar to the restaurant will be free of charge.

The participants will gather at the main entrance of the Sava centar (Milentija Popovic Street) at 18.30h from where they will be transferred to the restaurant.

Participants can join us for an excursion which will be organized on Monday, 20th  February, from 8h to 18h) to visit sampling apiary managed by professional beekeeper Zoran Kovačević in Brestovik near Grocka, Center for queen selection Apicentar of Dr. Jovan Kulinčević in Vranić, and sampling apiary  belonging to professional beekeeper Goran Tomić in Kosijeric.  The price of the excursion is RSD 5,000.

Sightseeing tour of Belgrade will also be organized at the price of RSD 2,500 with a professional tour guide, on Sunday 19th February, from 10h to 14h .
